The longhorn moves amongst the rubble
No luck to find footing
The bovine figure
Bathed Blue and green by the thunder
It turned to face me
Amber Glass for eyes
It stood heaving smooth air,
Through lung and tendon
The vision of it, its idiom, said a word straight and tall
I answered a stare with my Languid measure
All cut and curved to the shape of my own useless suffering
Malice and Monotony,
A Dream left to strangle
I turned to see others the same as me, caught in the heavy air of delusion
It ushered us on, trying to give us a meaning
Mercy to a man,
but mercy isn’t so freely given by our kind,
We followed our bovine king
Though streets of trouble and decay
Until one of us cut it down
My head bowed in solemn dismay
Me and the rest stuck in place
We never had the endeavor to leave
The bovine figure sighed of it’s death and went on it’s way
Skin and bone, The great regenerator
Its glass eyes move on, following the blue thunder
How can you can’t help those that won’t help themselves.
