Written by J. B. Hogan
If there’s only work,
what do you do with you?
Where are you trying to go?
Who are you with and why?
What are you trying to do?
Time runs out – or didn’t you know.
One day it just runs out.
No more sunrise, no more sunset.
No more anything, no more you.
Did you have a plan?
Was there any kind of goal?
Did you get any of it done?
Is there enough time left
to accomplish anything?
Maybe you should have
thought about this before.
Maybe you should have
prepared better for life.
Maybe it never occurs to us
until it’s just plain too late.
