Written by Heather Williamson

Whilst sick at home I sought to see

As time goes by (it’s lovely)

But TV wanted pounds from me,

So I looked for another.

Soon I saw and seized my chance

I had heard of A Fine Romance,

I’d sometimes had a sneaky glance

When watched by my dear mother

And so my week was beautified,

And countless decades slipped aside

I smiled, I laughed, (perhaps I cried?)

Sweet love not hid in fiction.

So, for you both, my thanks are true

(For all the Shakespeare acting too)

But when he shared the scene with you

Shone something like perfection.
