A public service announcement for anyone still waiting on applause.
I clap for myself.
Because I know what I stand for—
and I know what I stand on.
Truth. Integrity.
And the kind of wisdom that only comes from lived experience.
I’ve been my own hype man,
my own support system,
my own reminder that worth isn’t measured by applause.
Because I had to be.
I didn’t have a choice.
I’d be dust and ashes
if I waited for this world to clap.
So no—I don’t need your approval.
I’ve already got mine.
And if you’re wondering?
Your boos don’t bother me.
I’ve seen what this world cheers for.
It crowns cruelty and calls it strength.
It claps for conformity and silences those who speak the truth.
It hands out trophies to tyrants and stage time to sellouts.
It praises profits over people,
appearance over integrity,
noise over meaning.
So I won’t shrink under your disapproval.
Not when I’ve watched the world throw ovations at ignorance,
stand for spectacle,
and throw parades for polished lies.
If that’s what earns applause,
then your boos?
They’re just background noise.
And background noise fades—to nothing.
Because in the end, that’s all it ever was—nothing.
But that’s just My opinion.
