The Patagonia project comes from travels to city of Punta Arenas and the Torres del Paine National Park located in Chile.  On these travels I was seeking to capture the awesome beauty found in the Patagonia region.

Artist Statement

My photography explores the many expressions of nature through light. My work spans deep-space astrophotography, underwater imagery, wildlife, and landscapes—ranging from the depths of the ocean to the distant structures of our galaxy. Across these subjects, I seek to capture the beauty, complexity, and scale of the natural world.

I am fascinated by both inner space and outer space. Through astrophotography, the camera and telescope gather faint light from distant celestial objects, revealing forms so immense they challenge our sense of scale. My underwater work focuses on a more intimate world, highlighting the remarkable diversity and individuality of life beneath the surface. Together with studies of terrestrial wildlife and landscapes, these images aim to evoke curiosity and wonder about environments viewers may not often experience.

Light and composition are central to my work, revealing patterns, textures, and forms that shape each image. While color plays an important role, black-and-white photography remains fundamental to my practice, emphasizing light in its purest form through contrast and structure.

Through my photographs, I hope to share moments of discovery and reflection on both the intimacy of nature and the vastness of the cosmos.
