We are everywhere, but we are never truly there. Urban Dissociation (elsewhere, in the same place) tells this story: people walking, waiting, or traveling through our cities, but completely absorbed by their smartphones or lost in their own thoughts. These photos use sharp black-and-white to show the gap between the cold reality of the streets and the invisible world that captures us. In these images, a poster’s reflection or a screen’s light often looks more real and sharp than the people themselves, who appear as shadows or blurred figures. It is a portrait of modern loneliness, where we are surrounded by thousands yet remains trapped within our own personal bubbles.

Dario Bonetto is a sixty-year-old photographer deeply in love with the art of photography. For the past few months, he has dedicated himself to Street Photography, combining a strong passion with the search for his own visual path. His approach to the street is purely instinctive: he lets himself be guided by the intuition of the moment, capturing the exact instant that inspires him and makes him happy with the shot. In his black and white images, he loves to enhance urban geometries, deep shadows, and rich textures, creating simple and essential compositions where light is the true protagonist of the scene. For him, photography is an act of sharing and an invitation to stop and observe.
