Chasing the Light is an intimate reading of the mountain, shaped by the spirit of Sturm und Drang — nature as the place where the solitary man finds himself again, in tune with creation.

The work moves through an inner landscape as much as a physical one: the layered terrain of years spent returning to peaks that still resist the flattening of the world below. Here the mountain is less a subject to capture than a last refuge — an essential, untamed presence that measures the arrogance of man against its own scale, and reminds him of it.

The images gather across the Dolomites and the Alti Tauri, each one a pause inside a longer search for light.

I am a photographer and writer, and before that, a walker. My work begins on foot — in the slow accumulation of breath and distance a camera alone cannot produce.

I move through the mountains not to conquer them but to listen: to the shift of light before a storm, the weight of stone underfoot, the silence that settles above the tree line. Chasing the Light is what remains of that listening — images built over years of return to the same ridges, waiting for the moment the landscape opens.

I live and work between Italy and the Swiss Alps, where the Engadin valley has become both subject and teacher.
