Follow the tracks of the North Sea Canal. Clear away the dust, rust, and smoke to discover the sparkling black diamonds along the banks. Football fields of glittering coal, coffee and cocoa, silos filled with syrupy oil. Unexpected, unprecedented, and never seen before. Artist statement:

I am a self-taught photographer with a background in journalism and a passion for documentary storytelling. I use my camera to follow the stories that interest me, creating photobooks that explore two opposite worlds. My first book, From A to Z, focuses on industrial port life and my love for black-and-white minimalism. In these images, I strip away color to look at the raw shapes, stone, glass, and iron of industrial sites. My other project is the exact opposite: a children's book about the beauty of nature and birds in the city. For this work, I leave the monochrome behind to capture lively, colorful birds and green city spaces. Whether capturing heavy machinery or a bird in flight, I look for the clean lines and quiet moments in the world around us. I am incredibly honored that these stories have been featured in newspapers and awarded in international competitions.
