Photographer Jeremiah Gilbert, contributor to Edge of Humanity Magazine, presents a documentary series from his project George Town, Malaysia. The collection captures the essence of the capital city of Penang—a place where history and contemporary life merge. Founded in 1786 as a British trading post by Captain Francis Light, George Town developed into a multicultural hub shaped by the influences of Chinese, Indian, European, and Malay communities. This diversity remains evident in the city’s architecture, cuisine, and everyday rhythm, forming the visual core of Gilbert’s photographic exploration.
