Michael Frank’s Form Follows Function explores the beauty of human and animal anatomy through preserved anatomical specimens, bringing specimens from storage shelves into public view. Frank is a commercial photographer who worked in Milan before moving to London, where he studied Photography & Urban Cultures at Goldsmiths University of London. His work with anatomical specimens began in 2014 through collaborations with several medical and academic institutions. Form Follows Function received Wellcome Image Awards in 2015 and 2016 and has been exhibited internationally. He currently lives in Berlin.
