Rarefatti is a photographic project that questions what is visible and what remains hidden from everyday perception. The images evoke metamorphic aspects of nature through a hybrid approach that combines analog silver gelatin printing with drawing and, in some cases, collage. This process destabilizes the relationship between referent reality and its transformation, revealing symbiosis between animal and plant forms. Photographer Antonella Gandini, contributor to Edge of Humanity Magazine, explores fragility, restlessness, and the rapid transition between life and death, pushing the communicative limits of the photographic image.
