Photographer Kasia Jedrych-Waniek presents the photo essay What Remains as a reflection on childhood, memory, and the passing of time. Growing up in Poland during the 1980s, she revisits places and objects connected to her grandmothers after their deaths and the loss of their homes. The project became a way to preserve fragments of her childhood while also marking her transition into motherhood. Through photography, she explores what remains from the past and the emotional connection to family and memory.
