Laurence Paryzak’s A Fragile Branch Suspended Above an Abyss follows a man walking alone through a cold, snow-covered landscape, where the physical journey becomes an inward passage. Paryzak describes using a white balance of 3200 K and slight overexposure, allowing details and forms to fade as the man appears to merge with the landscape. Nature becomes an essential presence and silent witness to an inner journey and possible transformation. The project explores solitude, silence, memory, and the relationship between the human figure and landscape.
