In EGOSISTEMI, Edge of Humanity Magazine contributor Marcello Vigoni presents a photographic journey that spans from 2017 to the present, bringing together works from three interconnected projects: Landscapes from the unconscious, Multiverso, and Please Save Devero. The series explores the evolving relationship between man and nature, focusing on the human tendency to appropriate, classify, and dominate the environment, transforming ecosystems into what the artist defines as “EGOsystems.”

Vigoni’s images merge atavistic natural scenarios with fragments of everyday urban life, creating dreamlike and suspended spaces rooted in inner research and the unconscious. The work reflects on philosophical themes such as biocentrism, spirituality, ethics, and the utilitarian human view, while maintaining a poetic tone that evokes nostalgia for a lost connection with nature. Drawing inspiration from the concept of the synthesis of opposites, the series places real and unreal, present and infinite, light and shadow into dialogue, inviting reflection on the boundaries between reality and fiction.
