Régine Devarrewaere develops Empreintéisme through hand-painted tissue paper that is individually painted, torn and layered into luminous pictorial surfaces. Her paintings explore memory, emotion, light and the passage of time through flowers, birds, female figures and intimate interiors. Transparency, texture and layered fragments create a visual language shaped by her experiences in painting, textile felt art and poetic performances.
