Vitaly Leshukov Soldatov creates color abstract oil landscape paintings based on travel memories from the Mediterranean, Provence and other regions. His landscapes combine fragments of light, color, atmosphere and sensations gathered during journeys, transforming real places through memory and imagination. Rather than copying photographs or presenting literal plein-air views, he reconstructs landscapes from experience, memory and fantasy. Working primarily in oil and acrylic on canvas, Soldatov explores the relationship between recognizable reality and imaginative interpretation through expressive color, rhythm and layered painting.
