Becoming The Opponent

“Becoming the opponent means you should put yourself in an opponent’s place and think from the opponent’s point of view.”

 Miyamoto Musashi

(page 92)

Hermit Poet’s Comments: Trying to understand other people will make your life easier. Are they happy, unhappy, or do they have personal or money problems, etc. Learning to feel the vibes coming off of others will not only give you an advantage during negotiations, but also in day to day interactions. Think what it is like to be in the other person’s shoes. You will also have more patience with a rude person who may just be having a bad day.
