The dinner table is the home’s theater. The place where we show our love, start many fights, tell many lies, and toss bombshells. At the dinner table we nourish ourselves with good meals and have good times.

These meals are packed with clues of the environment in which the family raises their children and conducts their affairs.

“Don’t talk business during dinner!”

“…my best client moved thousands of miles away”

“Dad, I do not want to go to college”

Like the family you were born into, your environment is not a choice made by you. Life lessons taught from this designated circle of personalities and beliefs will follow and help to build your own way of life.

There are good and bad environments to be brought up in, but the point here is that it isn’t about you, this set of truths are made by people that came before you.

Personal growth will inevitably lead you out to experience different versions of your previous beliefs, and become an individual.

These self discoveries happen during our young adulthood. For many unleashing the individual trapped within self proves difficult.
