my room

consists of two single frame wood beds

A

roommate

air conditioner

locked windows

nothing else

no

desk

no

chair

dusty floor

I look out the windows

see people moving about

they are people living their daily lives

happy people

while I’m here

locked up

sad

a nobody

trying to figure out

how to put my splintered emotions

back together
