Written by  J H Martin @ A Coat for a Monkey

The full moon party

Is over

There is

No more getting fresh

There are barricades

Across the road

And there is military

On every corner

This morning I wonder

If they arrested sister

This afternoon I wonder

If brother was shot

This evening

I don’t want to think about

The rest

Not now

Not now the blocks are locked off

Not now the city is shut down

Not now

The tiger has been set loose

To prey upon the frightened cattle

What is happening

And who started the fire

I do not know

Without signal

Without phone

All I read

Are the interests of companies

And their generals

Man

This golden land

Is red with blood

This wheel is history
