We live in an information-rich yet time-poor culture. Our culture is becoming increasingly disconnected from nature. This is often manifested in being disconnected with ourselves.
Fascinated by the concept of time, I want to understand the feeling that time is accelerating. This led me to revisit the idea of “no time” or “presence.” Eastern philosophies profess that the present is the only reality and that past and future are an illusion. Being present is an antidote to accelerating time. These images were made with presence and with the hope that the viewer will also feel that presence.
