Mátyás Szöllősi’s Blindness series, made in Hungary in 2016, features blind people and people with severe visual impairments. The project challenges the perception of blind people as outsiders by showing that many live full lives, working, traveling, playing sports, and engaging in activities supported by technology and specialized tools. Szöllősi’s series focuses on the beauty and extraordinary power of a gaze. He is an Edge of Humanity Magazine contributor of this documentary photography.
