Victoria Vykhodtseva’s Salt Marshes of Lancashire grew from walks through the salt marshes around Morecambe Bay during the UK lockdown in 2020. The series records the stillness and uncertainty of that period through the changing landscape, shaped by tides, weather and light. Sheep appear throughout the wide surroundings, while open horizons, shifting ground, silt, grass and sand define the Lancashire coast. The photographs reflect a landscape that offered space, calm and continuity during a period of isolation.
