Felipe Martín-Serrano Ortiz’s series brings together historic architecture, industrial heritage, urban spaces and night landscapes from Almadén, a former mining town in central Spain, as well as Madrid and Sète, France. His photographs focus on the atmosphere of these places, particularly what remains when the crowds have gone and how light changes their meaning. Stone, metal and light carry the weight of the past throughout the selection, creating a visual exploration of places shaped by history and their changing atmosphere.
