I had my share fighting city hall, and yes, one can fight city hall and it’s an easy win as long as you have time between now and the event you are trying to alter. I do not subscribe to the so called “don’t burn your bridges” scenario, as if you are not helping me you are in the way, and by the end many bridges are burning.

But the story is completely different when dealing with private or large non governmental institutions where customers are led like packages on a conveyor belt to speak to a machine. My arsenal as a citizen and tax payer is diminished to ashes, my goal is to get my money back and take my business somewhere else. I must minimize my expectations, settle and move on to the next dilemma.
