During your day, there is a time when your body says, “I need a break”. You may feel anxious, tired, or blank out for a moment, but you know it is time for your second wind to kick in or you are going to drag for the rest of the day.
What if you prepare for this moment by giving your body a few minutes here and there, in order to avoid the big tumble?
Whether you had a good night sleep or not, while you are still in bed, start your day by taking a couple of minutes for a ‘feel good’ stretch.
For the next hour or so, you will scramble to get out of the door. Your day is about to start, you are orchestrating to dos in your mind, the upcoming traffic, and places you have to go before you arrive to your final destination.
STOP!
Before you head out of the door, right before you enter today’s arena, find a quiet place for a few minutes, close your eyes, take deep breaths, and think of nothing.
Make a mental inventory of your daily stress and find out what causes it and when. Test yourself; find a quiet place, as you did in the morning to relax. For example, is the end result better if you prepare for the stress by taking time before or after the stressful situations, such as a meeting, or the arrival of people that will require your full attention.
You paid your dues for the day, you are going home, and round #2 is about to start. Escape for a few minutes because you are tired, drained, and need a lift to keep your body agile a bit longer.
When you get home, don’t jump on dinner or other duties. YES! Take time to replenish, have a drink, or enjoy quiet time and relax. Then carry on…
How to prepare for a good night sleep?

Neutrality comes with the price of being disconnected. Society is composed of like-minded people; teal lovers search for bluish-green connections, and the burnt sienna worshippers choose to navigate a path that’s deep reddish brown. Embracing the color wheel will yield richer exposure and isolation.
There is no glory in neutrality.
